About us

We are a professional and experienced dog training and behaviour service based in the Western Suburbs of Melbourne.
With a history of helping dogs and their owners for over 17+ years in everything from puppy school training for pet dogs to assistance dog training and everything in between, you can be confident you’re getting the right advice.
We are also experts in working with dogs experiencing more severe behavioural concerns including aggression, over reactivity, resource guarding behaviours, anxiety, phobias, separation anxiety and much more.

We are specialists in the training and accreditation of both therapy dogs (for both professionals and volunteer roles) as well as registered to train and accredit assistance dogs for public access. We specialise in psychiatric assistance dogs and mobility but also train for other roles so please reach out if you have any questions regarding your needs.

We are passionate about dogs and their owners receiving expert advice for their dog’s training, and addressing any concerns regarding their behaviour, mental health and well-being.

We are a force-free training and behaviour modification service. What does that mean? We do not use any aversive tools in our training. We only use non-aversive methods of behaviour change and train using rewards-based methods. We are proud members of the International Association of Animal Behaviour Consultants and accredited under the ACT for accrediting assistance dog teams. To find out more about me please feel free to check out the ‘about’ tab to learn more about my qualifications and training.

Testimonials from a few of our amazing clients…..

We have done some fantastic group training classes with Laura. Our dog absolutely loves them and is shattered when he gets home. Laura pays careful attention to the personalities of each dog in class to ensure everyone gets great, tailored training. Highly recommended! - Carla, Altona
“I am stoked. I feel we have a bit more freedom where to go with him and can trust he will play well in company of other dogs and vast spaces. Thanks so much for your attention to checking in, well after our training sessions have ended. You have so much passion for your job and you have worked wonders in turning our pup into a lovely well mannered boy! We still continue to recommend you to as many people as we can!”- Jim, Gemma and Kody,
Laura is absolutely fantastic. Laura first helped us with our Rottie Harper with her anxious behavior and excessive barking. Everything Laura showed us worked so well with Harper. Her anxiety levels are now minimal and she only barks when a stranger comes to the front door or gate. We got Laura out again when we welcome our son into our family. Kai and Harper are now the best of friends. We highly recommend Laura to everyone. Thank you so much Laura for all you have done. - Kellie, Melbourne
Laura’s gentle training with positive reinforcement is amazing! She is such a fantastic trainer who is extremely positive, passionate and so generous with her time. She really cares about your dogs wellbeing and happiness. I’ve been to other trainers and she, by far, is the best I’ve had the pleasure to work with and my boy really responds well to her methods. I would highly recommend her to anyone. Thank you Laura for all your assistance and hard work. - Debra, Melbourne
Laura is a fantastic dog trainer and behaviour expert. We had a one-on-one assessment for our anxious and dog-reactive dog: Laura has such a calm presence and is extremely knowledgeable about dog behaviour and strategies to overcome anxiety/negative reactivity in dogs. I highly recommend Laura’s services. - Claire, Altona.
Laura’s calm presence and great knowledge helped reassure us that with her help we will be able to overcome Lennys fears with new people in the house. Although we have only had 1 session we couldn’t be happier or recommend Laura enough ! - Liam, Greenvale
Our Patchy has come so far thanks to Laura’s at home training, phone calls and Rookies class. She is no longer the anxious escape artist and our walks are so much more enjoyable together. Laura has put so much care and thought into her work with Patchy and has had so much understanding for what we were going through when we first adopted Patchy from a rescue. Thanks Laura! We look forward to some more training in the future. - Belinda, Altona
Laura Mundy is absolutely wonderful in the way she trains her dogs. She has a deep understanding of the emotions of dogs and how to consider their welfare when training them. She is extremely approachable and is amazing with clients. - Shadia, Melbourne
Laura is brilliant, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a dog trainer. We had some issues with reactivity with our pup and Laura was so knowledgeable and helpful, he was a completely different and confident pup in no time! Puppy classes are great, we learnt so much and everyone is given the time and guidance needed. Our dogs absolutely love Laura, going to puppy class was the highlight of their week - we’ll definitely be keeping in touch as they grow up, they’d miss her too much otherwise! - Jess, Altona.
